Our Mission: Celebrating Culture, Building Community
The Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council (HCHC) works to highlight and promote the contributions of Hispanic and Latin American culture to Canada’s evolving heritage. We foster pride, civic engagement, and cultural exchange through initiatives such as film festivals, art exhibitions, culinary showcases, music, parades, and entrepreneurship fairs — showcasing the diversity within diversity that strengthens Canada’s multicultural identity.

An engaging platform that highlights Latin American flavors by showcasing restaurants, cafés, and food enterprises across the country. Latin Eats connects audiences with authentic culinary experiences, supports local Latin food entrepreneurs, and amplifies the presence of Latin cuisine in Canada’s food scene

Toronto’s premier Latin American Film Festival presented by HCHC. LATAFF brings audiences closer to the best of Latin American cinema through feature films, documentaries, and cultural activities. The festival builds bridges through storytelling and gives Latin American filmmakers a platform to share their work in Canada.
Hispanic / Latin American Heritage Month
Every October, the Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council (HCHC) leads the official celebration of Hispanic / Latin American Heritage Month in Toronto and across Canada. Recognized by the City of Toronto, the Ontario Legislature, and the Federal Government, this month-long festival brings together music, dance, art, film, gastronomy, and community events that showcase the richness and diversity of Latin American culture. Heritage Month is a time to celebrate our contributions, foster unity, and strengthen Canada’s multicultural identity.
